How To Qualify As A “Biker Friendly Church”
Brothers
of the Cross Motorcycle Ministry
/ Missionary / Service /
Organization is committed to the ministry of the
local church. We are a missionary outreach to bikers and our
Mission Statement reads: To minister to all people regardless of
race, belief, gender or social status. To be a light in
the darkness, being a witness for Jesus always. Bringing
the Gospel of Jesus Christ our Risen Lord and Savior to those
where they are. To witness always, speak when necessary.
B.O.T.C.’s goal is to build relationships with others so that
through our walk with Jesus will be seen to be consistent and
that we not cause any one to stumble. In fact, in order to be a
member of Brothers of the Cross, one must be a member or regular
attendee of a local church and come to us with a pastor or
church leader’s recommendation. It is for this reason that we
are always looking for “biker friendly churches” around the
country.
Each
year, motorcycle riders from all over the country ask us,
inquiring if we know of a church where they might attend and be
accepted. When a rider calls from your city, we would like to be
able to point them in your direction with confidence that they
are going to hear the uncompromised Word of God. In addition,
since many are riding very expensive motorcycles( $15,000.00 -
$50,000.00 - and up to $100,000.00 - Custom Bike’s) which are
easily picked up and stolen away. We would also like to know if
there is some place safe to park their bikes; either designated
bike parking or perhaps someplace next to the buildings. (Bikes
on the streets or distant parking lots are “easy pickins”.)
May
we include your church on our website as a “biker friendly
church”? Please consider the following questions:
1. Have
you read our Statement of Faith and can you agree with it?
2. Does your church teach the Bible and its concepts?
3. Is your church excited about Jesus Christ and committed to
authentic worship?
4. Can we come to your church in biker clothes and still be
accepted by the people?
5. Will you accept me even if I have long hair (or no hair),
tattoos and piercing?
6. Is there a place that I can park my bike safely?
7. Is their a live security person watching over the
Motorcycles, people do look at the motorcycles
Many
churches place an emphasis on missionary work at home and
abroad. If your church has a heart for missions work, may we
suggest that you consider a monthly missions support for
Brothers of the Cross. A very small amount of monthly support
from churches across this city and our community and our state,
and country will ensure that more and more people will hear the
good news of Jesus Christ. We humbly ask that you prayerfully
consider becoming a supporter of this important missionary
ministry to reach the hundreds of thousands of men and women
that ride and don't know Jesus.
